Music You Can Use

Love is music. Music is Love, which is why we like to keep you on the up and up on all the stuff you should be discovering.

On our September 21st, 2017 episode, we reviewed a few albums starting with the granddaddy from the Foo Fighters, Concrete and Gold. This album is straight out of the 70’s, taking influences from bands such as Pink Floyd, The Beatles, Prince, and even the Mamas and the Papas. Plus, the guest appearances are quite the array with spots by Sir Paul McCartney, Boyz II Men’s Shawn Stockman, and Justin Timberlake!

Then we went to a newer band, Greta Van Fleet, who are so young, some of the members just graduated high school THIS YEAR! So far all they’ve given us is a 4 song EP called Black Smoke Rising, but if that’s a taste of what’s to come, we’re in for a treat from this band.

Queens of the Stone Age gave us our next offering with the album Villains, which isn’t too far from the wheel house we’ve come to enjoy from them.

And we gave some love to a local band to us named Behind the Gray. Not because of nepotism, but because their new album, Treason, needs to be heard by the masses.

Finally we ended things out with a new single from 30 Seconds to Mars called “Walk on Water”. No word on when the album will get released, but if the single’s here, you’d have to imagine it’s not too far away.

So there you have it. Now, you need to listen to the episode linked above, and see if your opinions side with ours.
