What Do Those “Chime” Sounds on a Flight Mean?

If you’ve flown on a major airline then you’ve heard those “chimes” in the cabin.  Here’s a flight attendant explaining the three types of tones you’ll hear.

One chime is a passenger asking for assistance.  The high-low chime is one flight attendant trying to call another, or a pilot calling a flight attendant.  Three high-low chimes is an emergency, but he’s sure you’ll never hear that.
