That picture is just a microcosm of the devastation Hurricane Harvey left behind in Houston.
On our August 31st, 2017 episode we told you some stories, and how you can help, but in case you couldn’t track everything down, here’s a video showing you how.
On our August 17th, 2017 episode we talked about this guy who shot himself in the heart with a nail gun.
Now, seeing the picture above, you wouldn’t think this would be something to laugh about, but just watch how matter of fact he is about the whole ordeal, and we promise you’ll be cracking up.
And in our August 3rd, 2017 episode we took a deeper look into them, learning about the voices behind the characters. Here are some we didn’t get to.

Woody, Toy Story
Tom Hanks has said that he was interested in the role of Woody the cowboy because as a kid he always wondered if his toys would come to life when nobody was in the room.

Jessica Rabbit, Who Framed Roger Rabbit
Kathleen Turner was nine months pregnant when she recorded her role as the smoldering, sexy Jessica Rabbit.

Ariel, The Little Mermaid
When Jodi Benson sang the iconic song “Part of Your World,” she recorded it in the dark to get a more underwater feel.

Copper, The Fox And The Hound
There was a rumor that Kurt Russell recorded his lines for Copper while in his Escape from New York costume since both movies came around the same time, but Disney has since debunked that myth.
It’s the event everybody in Nerd Nation looks forward to, and it did not disappoint this year. Among a bunch of stuff we’ll cover on our July 27th episode, were some awesome trailers; headlined by the Justice League trailer:
Of course, Marvel couldn’t let DC win the race, so while they wouldn’t show the Avengers: Infinity War trailer to us normal folk, they did give us a trailer for Thor: Ragnarok:
And Marvel didn’t stop with movies, giving us a look into their Netflix series, The Defenders:
Speaking of Netflix, we also got the trailer for the 2nd season of Stranger Things:
And then HBO showed up to give us a teaser for the next season of Westworld:
Back to movies, we saw a trailer for Star Trek: Discovery:
And a look into the movie based off the cult favorite book, Ready Player One:
Finally, what seemed like the biggest talking points from the event, the trailer for The Walking Dead Season 8, which made more questions than answers.
So much more went down, and we’ll cover it for you this Thursday on A BRAND NEW EPISODE OF A FREAK ACCIDENT!
To say we didn’t see this coming would be an understatement. Our show was honored by The Electric City Music Conference, nominated for Best Podcast at the Steamtown Music Awards.
Now, as you can see, this is something local to our area, but there’s a way you could help us cheat the system even if you’re not from the area.
Give us a vote. Hell, give us 10! Let’s kill the competition, and show them the A Freak Accident Family is strong!
That’s a picture of what one guy in Florida saw in his backyard. Yes, monkeys are taking over Florida, and no monkeys aren’t native to Florida. So, how the heck did they get there?!?
Now, before you go thinking “Oh, but they’re adorable.”, check out the video below of what happened when a family got too close at a park. Then make sure to listen to our July 13th, 2017 episode to hear all about it.
You may love the Carolina Panthers, or you may loath them, but one thing cannot be questioned, and that’s their love for the Fresh Prince Of Bel Air.
Starting on July 7th, and through 3 days, the team sent out a bunch of tweets, which seemed like nothing at first glance, but take a moment and connect the first word in each one.
Last weekend New Jersey’s government had to shut down because of not agreeing on the budget, which also caused all state parks and beaches to close as well. It’s unfortunate, but these things do happen from time to time.
The real problem came into play when a camera caught Chris Christie, and his entire family, enjoying a beach all to themselves because of it. Not exactly the most respectable thing for a governor to do.
(Funny note: Look how Chris Christie is looking straight up at the camera taking the shot. It’s almost like he knew he was about to get screwed)
If you’re an avid listener to the show, it should be no surprise that we love music, and that’s why when we hear something that perks out interests, we want to make sure you know about it.
The new album, Concrete and Gold, will hit our hands September 15th in what Dave Grohl is proclaiming will be the Sgt Pepper of Foo albums. Pretty high bar to hold yourself too, but if anyone can do it, it’s the Foo Fighters. In addition to that, the band is promising guest appearances, one being from the “Biggest Pop Star in the World now”. Some have speculated it would be Adele, but nothing has been confirmed just yet.
One thing we do know is that one of the tracks will feature a collaboration with Boyz II Men. If that doesn’t make you realize how eclectic this album will be, I’m not sure what will. Now, as a bonus for visiting our site, here’s another new tune from the album the Foo Fighters unleashed on a crowd in Paris called “Dirty Water”.
But we didn’t just talk about the Foo Fighters, we also dove into this band that’s really gaining some steam called Greta Van Fleet. There’s no way your not ready for a party once you listen to this song called “Highway Tune”.
If you’re wondering when the albums coming out, it actually already did back in April, although we’re willing to bet Greta Van Fleet sees a tad more sales now than back a couple months ago.
Following that up, we did some album reviews, starting out with Stone Sour’s very diverse Hydrograd.
Neat story behind the name of this album name, but we’ll let you listen to the episode to hear that (link at the top of this post)
And finally, it was the new disc from Rise Against named Wolves.
So, what are you waiting for?!? Get this music now, so you’ll be the one ahead of the curve.
