Nintendo Doubles Down on Nostalgia, Will Bring Back the NES

Nintendo is seriously cashing in on that nostalgia we all seem to be floating in these days. As if the recent revitalized obsession over Pokémon wasn’t enough, Nintendo has announced today that they will be bringing back the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) in the form of a new, compact console that will come pre-loaded with 30 classic games and will run $59.99 in the US.

Some of the classic games contained in the mini unit include Super Mario Bros., The Legend of Zelda, Galaga, Metroid, Pac-Man, Ice Climbers, Balloon Fight, Donkey Kong, and more. You’ll also be able to buy a functional recreation of the classic NES Controller for $9.99 as well.

While we’re all about nostalgia, I think I’ll pay for it with an allowance I’ll force my dad to give me for mowing his lawn.
